DESCRIPTION
NAI, Inc. is seeking an freelance scientific editor who will be responsible for editing scientific documents. The position requires a Ph.D. in a relevant area of scientific research and minimum five years of editorial experience. This is a contract, freelance editorial position, based at NAI, Inc. in Japan. NAI provides editing and translation services to researchers, doctors, national agencies, and corporations in Japan.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Edit scientific documents, which include journal articles, reviews, theses, presentation slides, speeches, etc. Format manuscripts to make them ready for publication
QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in a relevant area of scientific research
Have published journal articles or served on the editorial board of a journal
Minimum five to ten years editing experience
Excellent written-English skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Support-oriented customer service skills
Candidates with cardiology, clinical medicine, dentistry, gastroenterology, and surgery backgrounds are encouraged to apply!
